About Oasis Eyecare in Smyrna, TN

 

Dr. Frankie Goolsby is a native of Memphis, Tennessee. She graduated from Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry/ Biochemistry and obtained her Doctorate Degree in Optometry from the University of Missouri in 2005. Following graduation, she decided to pursue an extra year of intensive residency training specializing in geriatric and ocular disease at the Harry S. Truman Veterans Hospital.

 

Dr. Goolsby has worked in both the private and government sectors.  She have 12 years of experience within the Department of Veterans Affairs. Her professional affiliations include: the American Academy of Optometry-Fellow, the American Optometric Association, the Armed Forces Society, and the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians. She is also active in the community with her sorority and has served on several ministries at her church.

Dr. Goolsby enjoys living life, traveling, and staying fit. She lightheartedly thinks that she is a "professional 5K'er".
